BEACH SPOTLIGHT: CRANE

Crane Beach, perched beneath the rugged cliffs of Barbados’ southeast coast, is a place where the Atlantic meets paradise. Its pale pink sand glows in the sun, and the turquoise waves roll in with a rhythm that feels pure island. Once a busy landing spot where cargo was hoisted by a wooden crane, today it’s a haven for sunseekers and locals who come to swim, body surf, and watch the light fade from the cliffs above. With its wild beauty and timeless charm, Crane Beach is Barbados at its most breathtaking.
SAINT LUKE PICKS: RAY RAY
This week we meet Ray Ray, Crane Beach’s beloved coconut vendor whose charm is as refreshing as his coconuts. In this sun-soaked interview, Ray Ray talks about the famous pink sands of Crane, his crowd-favourite creations like “The Rihanna”, and what he loves most about sharing a taste of island life with visitors from all over the world.

As Hurricane Umberto passed near Barbados, Soup Bowl was pure soup nowl — wild, churning waves where calm turquoise waters usually lap the shore. Our retail and operations manager, Andrew Rose, found out just how powerful the surf was after dislocating his shoulder in the chaos.
He’s already recovering (and laughing about it), but it was a reminder that when the sea at Soup Bowl turns to soup, even the locals know it’s best admired from the sand.
